Keeping Safe from Mosquito-Borne Illnesses

tabs box bottom border

Sullivan County Public Health Services encourages all residents to “Dump Your Water” every Wednesday in an effort to reduce the number of mosquitoes potentially carry-ing Zika virus and other mosquito borne illnesses.

Dump, clean, scrub or throw out items that hold water such as:
• Buckets
• Planters
• Tires
• Toys
• Pools
• Flowerpots
• Trash Containers

If you can’t dump your standing water, use a mosquito dunk (larvicide) kit, available for free by calling New York State Department of Health: 1-888-364-4723 OR
Sullivan County Public Health Services: 845-292-5910, Ext. 0
