Library to host concert for National Hispanic Heritage Month
Liberty Public Library will host a free evening of live music in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Dan Garcia will offer guitar music from Spain and Latin America in Liberty Library cafe.
Steeped in the tradition and the beautiful sounds of old Segovia records, Garcia’s program of Spanish and South American Compositions in an authentic offering of personal heritage. A native of Madrid, Garcia teaches music at Manhattan University and is the owner of the Beacon Guitar Studio.

During the concert, members of the public, will have the opportunity to buy a chance on the Friends of Liberty Library Harvest Raffle, which includes a roasting pan, pot holders, candles, napkins, cooking accessories and a $50 ShopRite Gift certificate. All proceeds will support the library with the final drawing on Thursday, Nov. 14. Tickets are $1 a ticket of $5 for six.
