Liberty Middle School prepares students by promoting academic excellence, respectfulness, independence and responsibility. Students and staff strive to create a culture characterized by respect, kindness, compassion, inclusion and peace. Comprised of a diverse community of learners, the school places a special emphasis on meeting students’ academic and behavioral needs. To that end, the school spearheads the district’s multi-tiered system of supports, a framework used to identify struggling students early, intervene quickly and provide custom support. In addition to its strong academic program with an emphasis on reading and math, the school offers peer mentoring, Leader in Me curriculum, a renowned music department, a MakerSpace and a variety of extracurriculars.
